Morning sickness in pregnancy is very common generally in 1st trimester of pregnancy. It is characterised by nausea , vomiting and fatigue. Unlike its name ,it can occur at any time of the day .In some areas ,people even recognise the gender of baby through morning sickness in pregnancy as more severe condition means the female and less severe means the male .This method is not so accurate.

- Change in sleep pattern
Getting enough sleep of 8-10 hours , sleeping in accurate position can help to overcome morning sickness. Rest is necessary, try to medicate to get inner relaxation of body.
- Change in diet
Prefer to take light and easily digestible meals and avoid heavy meals as digestion slows down due to progesterone hormone in body. Prefer to take small and frequent meals as it will be easily digestible. Stay hydrated as water loss occurs during vomiting and avoid spicy food as it will lead to heartburn. Eating healthy means getting good lifestyle.
So, these are some changes that a pregnant women can opt to avoid morning sickness in pregnancy , but it will be incomplete without talking about some desi nuske (home remedies) during pregnancy.
- Ajwain (Carom Seeds):
Take 2-3 times ajwain powder a day along with water or tea.
- Ginger (Adrak):
Prefer to take ginger tea as ginger helps digestion which definitely reduces nausea and vomiting. Ginger also has anti-microbial properties.
- Lemon (Nimbu) and Salt:
Prefer to take lemon along with water as per your desire as lemon contains vitamin C which boost immune system .
INSTRUCTIONS : Avoid taking excessive dose of lemon .
- Cumin Seeds (Jeera):
Prefer to take cumin seeds along with warm water and try to use cumin in food as it helps in digestion and rich in vitamins.
