Why to sleep in right position? ever wondered.. Well sleeping in right position maintains posture and enables proper blood circulation .Here, are some sleeping positions in pregnancy which must be followed by a pregnant lady.
1. Avoid sleeping on back
Sleeping on back can increase back pain and reduces the blood flow to the baby. Sleeping on back can cause discomfort put pressure on spine . Sleeping on back can even also bring negativities and affects the sleep .
2. Use pillow under belly
Using pillow under belly can decrease spine pressure and provides comfort. Pregnancy journey is all about comfort and care ,so use pillow under belly in order to have more comfort and better sleep.
3. Side sleeping
Generally ,it is recommended to sleep to left side in 2nd trimester and to right side in 3rd trimester. The reason behind this is that side sleeping enables proper flow of blood towards foetus and supports growing belly. But always sleep in correct position , even if you are side sleeping but use correct posture .
Tips for better sleep in pregnancy
- Exercise regularly, exercise improves body flexibility and maintains good blood circulation.
- Stress less , as baby is connected with mother ,stress will harm the baby .Stress induces hormonal changes in the body which are not good.
- Use comfortable pillow , taking in mind that comfort should be the top most priority. If you are comforting yourself means you are comforting your growing baby.
